Our Nepal Yatra( Pokhra visit ) Episode 4

                         Trip to Lovely City(Pokhra),Nepal

                   On 28 th Sep 16,We left after break fast by Jeep for Pokhra,the second biggest city in Nepal.

Reached late evening and checked into Hotel Fewa Holiday Inn on Fewa/Phewa Lake side.This is a posh area of Pokhara,very  peaceful with beautiful surroundings and good hotels and trek points.We had a Marwari dinner and went for site seeing next day. We  visited a temple  called Varahi Mata which is one of Dasa Mahavidyas temple.It is situated in an island inside  big lake called Fewa lake.

We went for a boat ride and had Darshan and photo session on the lake and temple area.

After Boat ride, Darshan of Maata Varahi at her temple inside  FEWA/PHEWA lake,we had a photo session and took some rest and had  nice Marwari Lunch and proceeded to a place called Devi falls which is around 10 KM from our hotel which is beautiful water fall.We had a photo session and saw a wish pond near by.We dropped some coins and two of 5 coins went inside inner ring.ie our wihes will be fulfilled.With that hope,We went for another cave called Mahendra Cave near Devi falls .We need to go down steps deep inside the cave where you can see few Statues of old Sculpture and some Siva ling.As there was no lighting inside cave we came back after covering some distance.

Then we went another hill area called Vindhya Vasini temple situated on the top of a hill constructed in 1658 by Nepal kings.It was a beautiful place with Lakhminarayan,Ramtemple and and Radha Madhav statues.

Another concept we liked is that every street and shop has wash rooms and not only shop customers, anybody can use them on user charge paymet One beauty in Pokhra is that our laundry can be given for washing and pressing in kilos and not by numbers or individual items.If you give in the morning you can get back by mid day or by evening washed with clean water by washing machines.nt basis.They are maintained very neat and clean and charges are nominal and Wi Fi services are free at every shop and tea stall.You need ask a pass word  and start browsing the net.

We left Pokhra after two days of visit for Jemsom enroute to Holy Mukthinath ,famous Vaishnava Kshetra .Mukthinath means person giving salvation or Mukthi .Here Lord Krishna is Mukthinath.In the next episode we will cover it along with Galeswar,another Siva Ksthetra or place of worship.
